Well Im doing my clutch install. I have the tranny off. I turned the flywheel conterclock wise. I noticed on the vfaq for timing belt install it says

Caution: Rotate the crankshaft in a clockwise direction
was any harm done
thanks

rotating the engine counter clockwise is only bad if you let a lot of slack build up on the timing belt, I doubt you cause any problems! :)

NOT GOOD! OMG
Spinning the crank counterclockwise may cause your timing belt to jump teeth. When turned in the counterclockwise position, the automatic tensioner relaxes and takes tension off the belt. It is very important that you check your timing before going further.

Turning the flywheel CCW is the same as as turning the crank CW from the timing belt side. What you don't want to do is to turn your flywheel CW.
