Like the title states, i dont know if i want to get rid of the dsm, but its the problems i've been having is no fun. I need to get to work and get around. I love the car, just scared to drive it. I have been thinking about trading it in, or something. the main thing wrong with the car, is that the axle doesnt like to stay in. And also it leaks oil, but i am use to it. I am just always afraid that it will blow up.. So let me know your comments and concerns..

It looks really nice. The problems you have sound like nothing a full day of work can't fix though. I personally would keep it. Half the fun is repairing and keeping it in shape. Learning helps keep the mind strong.
 
You really cant have a race car/turbo car as a dd to get you to work.

Try to get another car something newer or with a warranty, that way you can keep it and have a good new car that you dont have to worry about getting to work.
 
Like I said fix it, have someone fix it or get rid of it.
I would fix it myself.
If your axle keeps coming out maybe you have the wrong axle?Maybe the nut is missing that hold it to the hub.
Which axle is it that keeps coming out?Does it only do it when you turn a certain way?
Also you might want to check the gear oil in your tranny.Chances are if the axle is not staying in neither is the gear oil.

One of my friends has a 92 tsi fwd, and that beast runs like a champ, with a 14b and like 17psi of boost all day.. But my axle keeps getting disconnected from the carrier bearing, that bolts behind the block. The axle actually doesnt come out of the tranny or the hub. I usually do fix my car. But with the bolts snapped in the block its a little hard, i dont have the tools to do it..

You need those bolts fixed, get a tap and die set with a broken bolt and nut extractor and fix it.

If you keep breaking axles it could be cause of bad motor mounts letting the engine move around.
Or could be the snap ring that goes on the end of the axle into tranny came off and is now stuck in there.
Check all you tie rods , bolts and rubber mounts in the suspension for worn out stuff.
 
I have solid engine mounts. Its at a shop right now.. Cant wait for the bill.
 
pitbull419, did u ask me if i have had a new tranny, if so what would make u ask that. Just out of curisity.
