I've always in the back of my mind wanted a turbo eclipse or talon/laser etc. I dont have a big budget for one at this point. Well one showed up in a local ad for 1000, its a 93 talon tsi awd, it had a tuneup and after awhile started running bad. I have a ton of tools etc and work on older cars for a hobby, so fixing it wouldnt be a issue with help from this site. SO should I get it???:)

That all depend on the condition of the car after you check it out, compression and tranny being the most important.

Just keep one thing in mind, older cars are never as cheap as they seem, the will require lots of time and money. If you can handle that and the car is in good shape, go for it, otherwise you will end up with an empty wallet and a headache :) Either way its your call.

Well it looks like you're already planning on getting it because you listed it as yours in your profile. To me a 7 bolt 1G is a scary proposition, but it should have the good rear-end and if you're halfway good at working on cars you can probably get it running decent. I wouldn't buy it if you can't hear it run 1st even if it runs like ass. Definitely fix everything and do all the maintenance before you go modding it or cranking up the boost though because then it won't last long at all or even work properly.

Decoder22, another way he could shrink his wallet is from buying parts off you LOL. If you had 1 person leaving you feedback as a scammer I'd say probably just a bad transaction and not his fault, but you have 2 people saying you took their money. I'm new here, and I know there's a separate place for this, but the fact that you're freely posting and giving advice to people while taking others' money really rubs me the wrong way. A thief is a thief man and that's a bunch of bullshite.
