short ram intake for turbo car

is a sri better for the gst than a cai...can someone explain to me how the sri reacts with our turbos?

I dont think any company makes cai for turbo cars. Just get a sri and build a cold air box around it. Ends up being the same thing as a cai

Yeah, keep in mind he's not going to be building a box around anything if he's using a stock inter cooler.

If he's using the stock intercooler, he can't use a true cold air intake anyways. I really don't think there would be room down in the bumper for the SMIC and the filter. The other way, the upper intercooler pipe is going to give you a real headache if you're trying to build a cold air box.

Best solution, get a front mount intercooler, position filter down in bumper. If you live where there's a lot of rain, leave the filter in the stock location box it in, and duct the bumper opening up into the bottom of the cold air box. But the single, most important mod you can do for your car is to get it out of California.
