My first time, had some help but not anymore, doing it by myself now. I have this thing on jack stands in my backyard. Yes I know....what was I thinking, I'm an idiot, etc. It's just proven to be too much for a first timer such as me, and I know someone could have already told me that......but I wouldn't have taken it for an answer and would have done it anyway. Now I'm stuck. I have the front jacked, I can't jack the rear simply because my 3 ton jack can't jack it high enough so I can't get to the drive shaft to disconnect it from the flange. I tried looking at the transfer case to maybe disconnect that, but I can't due to lack of experience, no idea where to start. I do have the Haynes manual, but it's just not helping me enough. The car has been sitting there with not a change for a whole week now and it's just down right frustrating. I feel like an ass. I need help. someone, help me.
). They are either 14mm or 12mm in size. It's also a good idea, once the case has been slid off of the shaft from the yoke, to support the drive shaft with a wire or a cinderblock, which ever is more handy. Check out vfaq.com they have a lot of information that could help you in your quest.
