My first time, had some help but not anymore, doing it by myself now. I have this thing on jack stands in my backyard. Yes I know....what was I thinking, I'm an idiot, etc. It's just proven to be too much for a first timer such as me, and I know someone could have already told me that......but I wouldn't have taken it for an answer and would have done it anyway. Now I'm stuck. I have the front jacked, I can't jack the rear simply because my 3 ton jack can't jack it high enough so I can't get to the drive shaft to disconnect it from the flange. I tried looking at the transfer case to maybe disconnect that, but I can't due to lack of experience, no idea where to start. I do have the Haynes manual, but it's just not helping me enough. The car has been sitting there with not a change for a whole week now and it's just down right frustrating. I feel like an ass. I need help. someone, help me.

I don't think that i can help you much with the "overhaul" process itself, but the transfer-case is pretty easy. There are just ~4 bolts attaching it to the transmission (it's been a while ;)). They are either 14mm or 12mm in size. It's also a good idea, once the case has been slid off of the shaft from the yoke, to support the drive shaft with a wire or a cinderblock, which ever is more handy. Check out vfaq.com they have a lot of information that could help you in your quest.

Hey, no need to freak out. At one point we have all been in that situation. You are on a good start. Search the forums and look up tech articles. There are many answers that can be easily found here. If you are looking for a more indepth manual that the stuff you get at an autoparts store, I would go ahead and go to http://store.forcedperformance.net/...ode=FP&Product_Code=CD&Category_Code=DSM-Misc
and buy the dsm cd. It has alot of very useful information that will help you with most of the stuff you do. But, if you can't find what you are looking for there, then ask away(after you searched of course).

i just did a complete overhaul on the same car i know all about the problems and kinks if you need some help just let me know

I can't imagine what frustration this might be for you. Like the other guys said search the tech articles and what not. The t-case is not hard. What you can do is probably go to a garage and ask one of the mechanics to assist you for a small price if it gets to be to overwhelming. It takes a man to admit what his wrongs man  don't we are here to help ya. Keep us posted with pictures and results etc. Good luck man
