just a couple of questions

What are the pros and cons of stroking a 6 bolt?

which block (6 or 7 bolt) is better to stroke?

Even after stroking a 7-bolt, there is still more of a chance of crankwalk down the line than with a 6-bolt. Then again, I havne't heard of too many people crankwalking before 70k or 80k miles anyway. Although it has been known to happen. 6-bolts are generally looked upon as being the better option to build up in whatever configuration you choose, whether it be stock displacement or stroker. If you're able to, I say go 6-bolt. Obviously the cons of a stroker are a lower rev limit (due to side-loading of the pistons, and stress on the rods), among other things, and the pros being more pump gas friendly (in theory), increased torque, and the powerband being shifted lower. If you want the max amount of power possible, while never using race gas, stroker might appeal to you. If you want to be able to rev higher, then stay with a 2.0 displacement.

Street car or race car?

2.3 is wonderful on the street, I've been driving one daily since 2003.

What are you wanting to do with the car? One of my friends has a 2.1 destroker and man is it sweet! With a built head you can rev way past 7k.

I suggest searching the stroker section. You will learn a lot. There is plenty of info in that section to awnser all your questions.

Cliffnotes-
Stroker more torque down low, can't rev past 7800.
2.0, less torque, can scream it as high as your wallet will take you.
Since i drive my car everyday, i wanted a bit more torque.

it depends HP=rpm*Tq/5252 so as long as the torque being made rises, stays the same or drops off slower than the rise of the RPM then the higher you rev it the more power you will make. But if the torque falls off faster than the RPM rises then you won't be making anymore power.
