Hey Everyone. I just have a couple questions here regarding my DSM. Right now, I'm in the process of pulling the engine (had to take a few days off) but I'm back to it. My question is about the drive shaft. If I'm pulling the engine do I have to disconnect the flange at the rear of the drive shaft so I can pull it out of the transmission? Or if when I go to pull the engine, will it just slide out without having to disconnect the flange?

My other question is about the Walbro 255 high pressure pump that I bought. I purchased the 255 high pressure not really knowing what I was doing.....idiot. My setup is going to be a new stock engine, with an EVO III 16g, FMIC, RC 550cc Injectors, full exhaust, intake....etc. I'll also be buying DSM link. I have an Aeromotive AFPR and gauge, too. And I want to know if the pump will be too much for my setup, since my car won't be that highly modded.

As always, any and all help is appreciated. Thanks! =]

In regard to the second question--with an AFPR/gauge you aren't going to hurt yourself by buying a big fuel pump. It's actually a sort of future-proofing for your car, in case you go bigger and need it.

I disconnected mine at the flange on the differential and then slipped it out of the transfer case and used coat hangers to hold it up off the ground.

Do you have to do it that way? Or are you able to kind of slide it out when you pull the engine? I'm just wondering because with the equipment I'm using now kind of makes it hard for me to get under the rear.

I'm not sure on how absolutely necessary it is. The piece that slips into the transfer case is long enough that I think pulling the engine with it attached would put a lot of strain on it if it even came out. I would either pull the driveshaft or the transfer case.

Best of luck man. :thumb:

If you had enough room to pull the DP, you have enough room to pull the T-case.
