I don't mean to start a nether "tranny fluid" thread, lord knows; there are plenty of them all ready. I did my search and just read through them all. I wanted to get an idea what fluid works for who, but I didn't really get any info on why it works so well for them. What make synchromesh shift smoother that RedLine. Or what makes MT90 (redline) more protective than BG or Pennzoil.
What tranny condition warrants what type of fluid. (I don't mean brand, but more like viscosity or "shock proof")
Does anyone change fluid at different times of the year?
How do people feel about fluid blending? Some times I think we just like thinking we've come up with something special. On the other hand; a manufacturer may have fluids at both ends of a spectrum, something in the middle may be a good idea.
I'd like to stay away from the +1 BG OR RedLine all the way.
At lest mention what RedLine you are referring too and why (tranny age, weather condition, driving style)
Thanks
