Hello, im just wondering what kind of MPG i should expect from a N/T 1g or 2g 5spd eclipse??

Im trying to weigh some options for a commuter and its down to a bike or a 4cyl car(like a dsm).

I've owned both non turbo 1g's and 2g's...and they are very similar, although I believe my 2g's did a little better. My 94 n/t got around 33 on the highway, and my 95 would see close to 38 sometimes. Both manual tranny.
But alot of it depends on the condition they are in, too. Either way, you'll see good mileage with them both.

My first car was a 93 1.8L 5 speed Plymouth Laser that was amazing for MPG. I was getting 28-30 city. Excellent fuel economy. On my current 90 Talon TSI I'm seeing about 22-23 city boosting often. 24-26 staying out of boost almost all the time. Highway I'm not sure seeing as I just started highway driving again, so I'll have to keep an eye on it.

Cool thanks for the input. However since this post ive found that my plans will be put on hold as my truck is falling apart and there is a 90% chance of me having to buy another one next week.
