I'm looking to buy a AWD DSM. I'm stuck between the 96-98 Eagle Talon TSI and the 94-96 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX. I'm new to this kind of car and never owned a turbo. I'm currently deployed and I'm looking for some advice before I get back and commit to one of these vehicles. I'm leaning towards the Eagle Talon TSI. Your Opinions are all welcome. Thanks!:talon: :dsm:

Personally, I like the Eclipse body more but thats just my opinion. It all comes down to a few things that are different. The spoiler, sideskirts, and bumpers, etc (a few other things) Take a look around in the gallery for some pictures.

When it comes to the engine. You mentioned 94-96.... 94 is first gen and 95 is 2nd. The 2nd gen comes stock with 7bolt engines which are know for crankwalk ( http://members.shaw.ca/costall/1000Q/answers-terms.htm#whatiscrankwalk ) Although if you are planning on doing a 6bolt swap (out of a 1st gen) then I would go with the 2G body style because they just look my stylish IMO. Although there are people who still have 7 bolts in there 2G and havent had any problems with crankwalk...

Decisions like this are pretty much up to you. Do some reserach on the engine and how much work you want to put into it. From what I know 1Gens are more reliable. When it comes to the body..thats your choice man whatever makes you happy :thumb:

Eclipse vs. Talon

I like the 1G talons and the 2G eclipse, just personal preference. Any of the options you picked are all 7-bolts, but I honestly wouldn't worry, they are extremely strong! I have a 7bolt in my Talon and I push up to 22psi on a 50trim with 93 pump gas! :) Also, you listed 94-96 GSX, the 94 is a 1G and 95-96 is a 2G in case you are looking to get the "newer" of the two DSM body styles get 95 and newer.
