you can get a logger and look at your timing curve...if there are any dips or changes in the number you know youre knocking.

i have a logger but still a newbie is it the ignition timing advance i got to look at?
if so how much is it suposed to be at
 
^^^ exactly... just like homeboy said... do that, and if you see any drops in your timing curve, then you know you are knocking.. your ECU senses the knock, and pulls timing to stop the knock.. its a failsafe... or just run 100 octane.. knock gone.. LOL
