So I am thinking my balance shaft is out either 180 or 360.... Is the vibration that I am feeling right now anything like what you would feel if you did the BS elimination?

And is it ok to run the car like this for a couple days until I have the time to check\change?

Thanks,

Ps. staying out of high boost and rpm's

If it's out 360°, it's back in.
Out-of-phase balance shafts tend to bring on harsh vibration around 3500 RPM. I don't know of any real damage they'll do. The vibration is much worse than BS elimination.

Here's how I would rate the vibration levels:

Yeah, I did the timing belt yesterday. The reason i put 360 out is because, Isn't the ratio 2:1 for that balance shaft or something like that?

Talking with my Dad again(Mechanic and Heavy Duty mechanic) we've come to the conclusion that were pretty sure we moved that one when putting it on. so were going to rip it apart again, and double check everything.

Thanks for the info guys!

and you were thinking right about being 360 out, but its the oil pump sprocket which drives the rear balance shaft that can be 360 out.

Ohhh I see. The biggest reason I even had the problem was there was a half mis communication between me and my Dad, he thought when i said 'rear balance shaft' I ment the Oil pump sprocket..but its all good now...
