Registration fees?

Well heres the deal. The car I'm getting hasn't been registered since 04. I'm not going to be daily driving it (drag car only) its going to be non-op. has anyone had experience with 3 years late or something similar. I just want to know how much I'm going to be owing the dmv.

Was a Planned Non-Op filed on it? And if you're going to race it only, you won't need to register it.

The guy did not NON-op it before 04. So until now its just been sitting and adding up late fees. The thing is, i want the car in my name which means when i send in the title they will send me back a nice hefty bill. then i will non-op it. I was just wondering about how much it would cost me.

dang so my $300 tsi would be about $1k after fees. Hmm thats a little to much for a project car. Mabie ill offer him $100,

or just get a bill of sale and the title from him, but never put it in your name.

We bought ours in 05, just registered it last week, and it only cost us $70 to do so. Guess CO does not have late fees??

Have the owner file a release of liability to you. Screw registering it. Registration is for street use, it's still your property.
