3" Exhaust

So I am trying to decide on doing a 3" exhaust.... It will be going from downpipe back....

Right now I have a dynomax cat back exhaust with no cat, just straight through.

I'm assuming I will need to run a resonator correct? I want it to sound good, not like the loud ricey civic's. Opinions, as well as your 3" set ups much appreciated!

i got a custom made DP back exhaust 3" made coming off my MeganRacing DP(no cat) with a magnaflow muffler sounds very nice! not ricey at all

i am trying to decide on that right now too.. my exhaust sounds really good right now and im scared if i get this new exhaust with a new muffler .. it will make it sound ricey and thats money down the hole.. but i was told from a friend that since i have a turbo and all it should still sound deep and throaty

u have a turbo car it wont sound like a honda no matter what exhaust you use

I as well like how my exhaust is now....I just don't want it to be LOUD. I wanna be loud but not LOUD, kinda thing. If that makes sense. vaboys2ndgen... do you have a resonator or anything? or is it Downpipe back to muffler?

yea 3 inch turbo back is ideal for a turbo'd car and it won't sound like a ricer, dsm is known for their deep sound

I have a 3" turbo back with no cat and it sounds mean. In my opinion, it doesn't matter what kind of muffler you use, it'll sound good and not ricey. I am new to the DSM world though so if I'm wrong, someone feel free to correct me.

I did a 3" cat-back w/ Magnaflow also. The deep tone gets lots of compliments.

I have a 3" Megan racing catless DP and cat-back. I'm actually kind of sick of the ricer fartcannon. The sound isn't that bad, but I know it could be better. I'm actually going to take off the cat-back and have an exhaust shop build a 3" mandrel from the DP to my Magnaflow oval muffler. That should sound a lot better and look more stock.

Mine goes in next weekend, So far my borthers sounds nice, and this is his old one, which was great. 3" turbo back with a t28, i'm gonna be spooling at like 500 rpm
