I just put put on a front mount and switched to a 3" GM Maf and running a blowthrough setup.

The car will start right up, but the idle is a bit rough still. Then it will only rev to about 3k and it starts sputtering. Tried to drive it but it wont build boost and as soon as it came out of vaccum it started bucking and sputtering.

I have good vaccum at idle.

Using DSM Link so I have all of the dials on the Maf translator 0'd out. Do I need to change a MAF setting with DSMLink? Its on 1g Maf sensor now.

I appreciate any help and ideas.

^^^^^ Yes what he said, sounds like you have a big boost/vacuum leak. Is your GM MAF in between the BOV and the Throttle Body?

yeah the GM Maf is between the throttle body and bov.

I check everything out and it seemed fine so i put my stock maf sensor on and it runs fine. I was able to play with my airflow setting and get it to idle ok but the 60% more air is entering the motor that is not being read by the GM Maf sensor.

So it seems like my GM sensor is bad. I'm going to try and clean it tomorrow and put my friends GM sensor on to see if his works for me.

My car was running extremely rich and wouldn't build any boost. It turned out the gm maf was bad. However I got a maf check engine light.

Looks like its the translator...hooked up a friends translator with my GM Maf and it was much better. Again needs some tuning but it was far better.

OMG! I'm having the exact same problem!!! It's driving me cRAyZeE !!!!! I did all the usual things like check for boost leak ( Blew 30 psi of air into it before blowing out my tester ), now, I've bought a data logger and it informs me that the MAF is only putting out 69hz at 3000 rpm when it should be reading somewhere about 750hz. Does any one know what one of the 'Late Model 3" GM MAF's are supposed to put out??
