Oil pressure question

What does yours idle at?

I am curious because my old TSi used to cruse at over 2/3 near the high mark. And my current is closer to what you guys are saying. I just want to make sure it's not to low.

I think the lifters were clogged so bad it raised it on the other one, thing had HORRIBLE lifter tick. My current still has the original lifters, but doesn't tick. Well I did hear it do it once... but never since.

I say about 50psi while cruising, 12psi+ at idle, and 60psi+ at WOT.

Those numbers vary a bit depending on who you ask; but that's what I've observed.

honestly I observed a low oil pressure in the 10-15psi range at idle a while back, however since megasquirt I've been back at 25psi (although it might help that my idle is up around 1250-1600rpms LOL)

I noticed a small difference when running fully synthetic vs conventional, also a difference was noticed a stock block vs a built block.

You can also alter the oil pressure readout if your playing with your fuel pressure or fuel tuning ect....

either way I would really only worry if your stepping on the gas and the oil pressure isn't rising, or if the oil pressure drops to zero and doesn't move.

I see 20-25psi at idle. 50psi whenever I even touch the pedal. 60-75 psi when I get on it.

What I have noticed is that my oil pressure differs based on how long I've been driving the car.
