ok i am new to the tubro thing i just got a 95 gst with a 6 bolt in it. i really like the sound of a hks ssqv. does anyone know any more about them and what can do to the car before i get a fmic.

My GST had an SSQV installed when I bought it. If you keep it on there, I highly recommend buying the recirculation kit for it, otherwise your air/fuel ratio will be out of whack and stalling problems will persist.

Great product i'd say. I have one and i know people with them on civics, an mr2 and also an eclipse and they love them also. But then again we're all running MAP sensors so we get to here the nice sound :)

I got mine on ebay, came w/ the circulation kit. The only minor problem w/ that, is the kit has a bit smaller outlet than the stock dump tube. I fixed this by cutting the recirc. tube and I bought 1" radiator hose where the OD fits inside the tube, and the ID fits the BOV.

As for the sound, it is actually quieter than the stock one w/ the recirculation. Just keep that in mind...

Buy a BOV for function, not for the sound. Plus, until youre running a speed density setup or a MAF trans setup you need to recirc it to keep it working as a bypass valve and not a BOV.

With that said, the HKS is a very solid BOV.
