I have been driving my AWD TSI talon around town and when a bunch of people are around, i like to show of a little. For some reason at WOT, it feels like the car is hesitating alot. There are no boost leaks and I am running 11 pounds of boost. The car has an A/T with a manual ECU and 450 injectors. Should I turn my boost down? What would cause it to be so slow? It idles just fine and has no miss or CEL. It just struggles under boost.

There are many possible reasons why your car is slow:
Wrong fuel
Fouled spark plugs/wires
Stock intercooler filled with oil

why did you install a manual ECU? was your car quick and then suddely slow?
Or was it just always slow?

Automatic DSMs are kinda bad off to begin with.

And your front bumper is probably the biggest problem with your car as far as I can tell

the picture of the car as my avatar is not my N/T. that thing is quick as hell! I am running 93 shell gas, brand new spark plugs ngk brp6es. I will check on the oil think tomorrow. I put a manual ECU in there because that is what i could come up with the fastest. As I was told in the forums, it was ok to do as long as you upgrade the injectors. The computer that was in it was for a N/T FWD Automatic. got 12 miles to the gallon :( alot better now.

Did you check the intercooler yet? That could definetly be a major factor. When you say slow do you mean it doesnt pick up quick anymore or do you mean it is physically not going over a sertain speed at all? Do you have a wideband? Check and see what your a/f ratio is, possibly you could be running poorly because of a leaky seal or something of that like.

ok, new update. after i did the timing, i took it for a few test runs down my street. I drove it normal for a few minutes, then from a dead stop, it took forever to get up to 60. I stopped again, then took of to see if it would do it again, it took off just fine with no loss of power. It is almost like it is loading up with fuel. Any ideas? It has 450's in it. Originally, there were 390's. and once again....THERE ARE NO BOOST LEAKS.

Are you running something to control the extra fuel(AFC,DSMLink) Do you have A FPR? You need a logger or Wideband to see whats going on. Check the plugs, wires. It could be the extra fuel. I know M/T Ecu's and A/T Ecu's have different fuel pressure. If you have a FPR is it set to 43PSI? I have a M/T Ecu in my A/T gs-t and its fine, but I have DSMLink + Wideband.

He doesn't need anything for fuel. He has a manual ecu in the car now. I did the same thing and my car is fine.

Get a logger and see if maybe you've got knock pulling timing. Also, try going to a manual fpr too. That helped me a lot. My car was a bit doggy because i was pushing too much fuel.

And a/t dsm's aren't "bad off to begin with". You just need to know how to drive them.
