Ok well as the title states its time for new rims tires.. i currently run on 17x7's with a 225/45/17r tire With Eibach Pro-Kit Springs( I think.. From all the reciepts i have from the previous owner it shows them being bought and my dsm is definatley lowered some) and Kyb AGX's.. Well long story short the front struts are blown out due to our crappy roads here in N.O., La.

Im putting KYB Gr2's in the front to replace them. My new rims and tires are going to be 16x7's(5x100/114.3 - 40) with a 225/50/16r (Kumho ECSTA AST) just wanted to make sure that these would still be ok with my setup. I also wanted to know if there is a way i can check to make sure i positively have Eibach Pro-Kit springs.. From what ive heard a 16x7 and a 225/50/16 will be about the same size as my current 17x7 225/45/17 in height. Just wanna make sure i dont screw up and order rims and tires that wont even fit on my car..
Thanks in Advance.

Stock size for these cars is 205/55/16. If you are going back to a 16" wheel, I would recommend going with a 55 series, not a 50. A 45/17 is most closely comparable to a 55/16. By going with a 50, you are cutting down on 10mm of total tire height. A 55 fills the wheel well that little bit more and it's original size, I would personally go with that.
But no, you shouldn't have any problems running a 50 series.
Road Race Engineering's site mentions that the KYB AGXs have a lifetime warranty by KYB, you might check that out.

Yes, they are about the same height. About 3-4 mm difference which is negligible.

See post #11 for reference on how this is obtained. (If my math was correct :p)

Saying 45/17 or 55/16 tells you nothing about the sidewall height or overall height of the tire without the width of the tire stated. The 45 and 55 are the aspect ratios, which is the sidewall height compared to the width of the tire, expressed as a percentage. Again, see post #11 in the link.
