Finally finished my 2.3 off. Primed the pump last night and started it up. Immediately upon start up it sounded as if there was no oil in the head clicking very loudly. So I pulled the valve cover back off, took out the plugs and motor fuse and cranked it over again to find myself covered in oil so it's definately sending oil up there. I don't have an aftermarket oil pressure guage so I couldnt' tell you what the pressure is. I'm wondering if that could be the problem though. I was told to run it for the first half hour on jackstands in 1st gear running SAE 30 Non Detergent oil. This stuff is like water thin. I'm wondering if all that noise could just be from the watery oil? Any ideas? I'm afraid to run it for the first half hour I don't want my 6 month build to get fried on the second day. I've been trying to get ahold of the guy at my shop but it's looking like I'm going to have to wait til Monday to get ahold of him and I'm quite anxious to be driving my car again!
