Ok, I had my motor built by a pro shop in 2006. 1200 miles later I spun ALL FOUR bearings and scored the crank due to improper installation of BS Elimination kit. I had very low oil pressure at that time.

Then, this year in May I had the bearings replaced with ACL Race Rod/Main Bearings and had the crank turned and polished. Now, "only" 200 miles later (I drive the car under great suspicsion since spinning prev. bearings)...my car is sounding a little more throaty in the engine area than usual around 3K rpm and climbing. Also, I noticed a greyish string of sh*t on my oil dipstick that was mixed with the "very clean" GTX 10w-30 oil (which is almost clear). Oil pressure is very good still. What can I expect??? Bad repair build??

The crank has been balanced. I got new cylinder walls and pistons. Head ported/polished too. I don't understand.

the block was bought new also and I had it shaved, bored, and honed during the first build. Oil pump wasn't replaced...I just had that flushed (not hot tanked), and had it put back on after i spun the bearings. Basically fixed what I had after the initial build.

Did you get the right oversized bearings for the amount they machined off the crank? How did you tell? Did you plasti-gauge it?
