I finished installing my BC 272 cams today. I am hoping I installed them right, without effecting timing. I took this clip to ask you guys if it sounds normal. I know they sound EXTREMELY lopey, because my idle was set at like 650. It normal does not sound like that when my idle is normal, you can barely hear them.

Sounds normal for 650. Bump it up to about 900. That is where I have mine set. Also check your base timing to make sure it is 5* ATDC.

I just got some bc 272s put in. The idle really does not sound much different than with stock cams. Only very slight lopes. Nothing like that though. I have mine zero'd out.

Oh ok saw you said at 650. My car has been stalling out and when it get's low it does get a bit more lopey. So probably is normal for that low an rpm.

I will take another shorter vid of it at 900 tomorrow. Also, I wanted to double check my timing just to be safe like you said. But what do I have to do to do that? Where is the mark on the crank?

Yeah I'm just hoping I did this right. What someone said up there ^ is that they have these cams and you can barely hear them. You can hear mine so well because the idle is so low. When the idle is normal you barely hear them

Whats you vac around? At 650 I'd presume like 13?
Anyways, going from stock 23 to 15 when I went with my FP2(272 equivalent)
Yours sounds normal to me.

I'm actually going with something bigger... I actually want the lope, maybe FPx2 or more. Looking into a valve train upgrade along with a new head..
