I blow off the PCV line and i dont know where it goes cant find anywhere, i basically need a pic of a 1g engine bay.

It goes on the back of the valve cover, right in front of the throttle body. Don't put a lot of torque on it when you re-install it.

Next time, please use a more descriptive thread title so the people who know the answer can jump in and tell you. It also others who have to search for the same problem in the future.

Hmmm. .. Not the pcv vavle then, its the line coming directly off the left side of the vavle cover, Just a piece of vaccum hose but there is not fitting on the end, looks like it just slides into another hose or something?

The only lines that should come off of the valve cover is the PCV valve and a breather nipple (not sure of the name). This can be in different locations depending on your valve cover.

My 1g valve cover exits to the left as you describe.

On a normal setup, there is a line that runs from that breather nipple to a nipple on the intake pipe.

EDIT: Here is a link to the picture of an engine bay. http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d44/turbo1307/AWD Spyder/engine.jpg

Hi, I am replying because I just happened to notice the same hose coming out of my valve cover today. My hose goes nowhere too. I just got my 1g a couple of months ago and am still getting to know it, but apparently the previous owner blocked off the pcv valve, and this tube is the breather hose. I was wondering where to reconnect it if I restore the pcv valve. Sounds like it goes into the intake that's connected to the turbo and air filter?

Thanks!

Thanks. I was wrong, I think. I think he just cut the breather hose and blocked off the nipple on the intake pipe. The PCV looks like it's still intact. But i'm still wondering about that setup--should I reconnect the breather hose to the intake pipe, do you think?

That will create a constant vacuum in the valve cover which will help relieve pressure. The only problem with that is that it could potentially suck in oily vapors. The most common way around this is to install some sort of inline filter. I saw some at walmart for $3. This will keep some of the crud from entering your intake tract. I would try to at least connect the PCV valve back.

OK, thanks guys. I appreciate your help. I think I'm going to try to restore the stock pcv setup just to be safe.
