850cc injectors with DSMLink and no FPR?

I just picked up my 3rd DSM :)

It has 850cc injectors with DSMLink but no FPR, is this normal? Does DSMLink control the fuel pressure regulator to keep it correct? I know my fuel is set at -43% so it is obviously adjusting for the amount of fuel, I just wasn't sure about the fuel pressure.

I don't think he was talking fuel pressure setting, I think he was referring to the fuel map adjustment.

What fuel pump does the car have? That's usually a better indicator of whether the stock FPR is being overloaded or not. Though even that has been disputed. I wouldn't feel comfortable not using a adjustable fuel pressure regulator with larger injectors and a better flowing pump. Maybe that's just me.

No. DSMlink has no control over fuel pressure. Is there an aftermarket fuel pump? That may be how he was getting away with not running an AFPR. If it has a decent sized turbo on it (to match those 850's), you're gonna want both a fuel pump and regulator anyways.
 
FPR has to do with fuel pump size, not injector size.

If you have a stock or 190 fuel pump, you'll be okay without an AFPR and the 190 is good for about 400whp. If you go with a 255 fuel pump, you'll need an AFPR.
