my fuel pump wont turn on
the ignition fuse keeps blowing

ive checked the pump
the wires on the pump
my rewire
the relay
everything i can think of that might cause it
and it keeps blowing
and ideas people?!
thanks!

i get no power to the ecu
i took off the turbo timer and the fuse stopped blowing
but i have no power to the ecu now...
any ideas?

Was the turbo timer power routed independently or was it routed off of the same power as the ECU?
Did you have a different fuse to supply each device with its own specific power requirements?

Check for any inline fuses or wire-fuses that may have been killed.

Your post is a bit vague, which makes if very difficult for someone to pinpoint possible errors.

You state that your fuel pump won't turn on, but I haven't seen any indication that you have tried to start your car. I'm assuming there is power inside the cabin and the engine turns over, but won't start. There is spark?

If you have tracked it down to having power and systems working for all items other than the fuel pump and ECU, then maybe check the underhood transistors/relays for proper levels.

the turbo timer was installed according to a tech post on here.
i dont know about different fuse or own power.

ive checked every fuse there all good

ill try to get into detail

just finished installing a 6bolt motor
the motor will crank over
but the fuel pump wont turn on
theres no spark or anything
now i can jump the relay to make the fuel pump turn on
so i no the pump isnt the problem
when i tried hooking my dsmlink up it wont ever connect (i dont no if its cause theres no power to the ecu or just cause the car isnt running)
before i took the turbo timer off the ignition fuse kept blowing
once i took the turbo timer off it stopped
but im still not getting power to the ecu
all inside lights work
windows gauges ect.

When I said spark, I meant at the plugs. I wanted to make sure that the underhood components are in working order. The relays and fuses under there may be the source of the problem.

Do you have a volt-meter? Can you test if you're getting any voltage at the ends of the connectors for your fuel pump?

No signal on a logger may be from an auto-cable that does not activate until the car is actually on, not just when the key is turned to the 'on' position.

Did you change out the relays and wiring when you installed the 255? Those Walbros do take a little more power and it is suggested that you upgrade the wiring and relays - you may have actually burned up a wire.

Alright, no I didn't check spark. But I used a test light on the fuel pump connections, I get power to one cable. The relay gets power to. I don't think the ecu is getting any power to tell the other things to turn on.
Does the ecu have a fuse? A relay? Where are they at if so? I rewired the fuel pump when I installed it.
And I can jump the relay to turn the fuel pump on if that means anything.

Ok, so the fuel pump/system seems fine.
Yes, the ECU does have a relay, but it might be part of the same system that supplies all the power to the main cabin. (It will be marked in the relay box under your hood.) If the lights inside work, then that's likely not the issue.

As far as testing the ECU, I don't know which wires are which for your model. The primary thing is to check for power.
If you have power to your ECU and there's problems, you should probably take it to a shop to check it out.
That's about as far as I can take you on this discussion.

There's a description of some power concerns at the bottom of this post:

I still can't fix this problem
No power to the ECU at all
Does the power come from the battery, like a straight wire. Or is
it going to a relay (if so wheres it at) or a fuse (wheres it at)?
I dont understand and it's messing up this whole project.
Thanks
