Buddies New motor, What do you think its from?

So heres the deal, my buddie bought a new motor from ebay after I told him many times not to. After looking at it I know its got a 13g turbo on it. Im just wondering what its from. He bought if for his 2g.

All I can remember is its from a Japanese SUV. There was a thread about where these motors came from about a year ago. I'll see if I can find it.

Looks like a 7 bolt jdm turbo motor from japan with the top mount since they came on a few not sure exactly which ones.

Ebay motors is asking for trouble, cause he only hear about how fast shipping was not how lng or great it runs or lasts.

Thanks for the quick reply. I knew there was something fishy about this motor. It has a different intake mani then I've ever seen.

I tried to tell him but he don't listen. Ebay is not somewhere I would trust buying a Motor. Especially when ever other word on ebay is JDM

Hah.. My buddy and i dropped one of those in a dead 2g.. It worked out fine.. The turbo was a super funky 15c.. somewhere between a 14b and small 16g.. Super spool and a ton of low end torque.. heh It was fun..

I think Im gonna tell him to send it back anyways. He could have just gotten his old block built for about the same. Plus I dont know how good that motor is there is oil coming out of everything, The intercooler, intake pipes, and turbo are full of oil. So I dont know if the motor has bad rings or if it just how they shipped it.
