Gasket Question

Alright I just got my exhaust manifold gasket. I sent my dad in to order both gaskets going from the manifold to the turbo and the manifold to the head. So when I went to pick it up they only had the one gasket. They one going from my manifold to my turbo they said is discontinued. Could I just use my old one or is that not right? I wouldn't usually but I may have no other choice

go back to the auto part store and ask them for a make your own gasket kit my friend only like 6 dollars, just lay the old one on it and cut around it and now you have a new gasket

Is the old one metal? If so i would check over it and make sure there is no splits in it that indicate leaks when it seals.

For an exhaust gasket? I don't think so. You need a metal gasket. You are thinking of like a throttle body gasket or something that isn't prone to that kind of heat. Just buy a new one from any of our NUMEROUS vendors that carry them. Also I know NAPA can get them if you have one locally.

yeap your right, forgot it was exhaust gasket, but they do have high heat poly ones, if you cant find one at stores just look around my friend, or go to the dealership. if you cant find one let us know, we will help get you there, and i did some research, you can get a metal high heat roll a gasket

the gasket used in between the head and the manifold is metal. i've tried dealerships (i work at a chrysler dealership) and they said its discontinued. ill try my luck at NAPA or some place, thanks guys
