Regina,
I recently bought a new manifold for my auto 91 turbo talon. I thought it would be a easy replacement until I came across the last bolt (by the power steering). Instead of going through the hassle, I'm just going to take it to my buddy (a mechanic) and he'll do it. I've heard that the bolts break easily. If you don't break them taking them out you will putting them back in. I've only taken my turbo bolts and the upper bolts on the manifold. Could I just screw them back in (not too tight) and drive to the shop? It's like 2-3 miles away from my house. Or does anyone have any recommendations about what do to? I really don't want to break a bolt off in the turbo or engine.

I was able to get it using a short socket and a swivel joint. If that doesnt work for you then take off the power steering pump like jongreene said.

I managed to get every bolt out with breaking them except for those crappy heat-shield bolts. I managed to save one. I just kept dosing them with PB Blaster every five minutes. And that last bolt I was able to fit an extension in there, or you could just slowly turn it with a regular wrench.

PB BLASTER!!!, or I bet WD-40 would work too.

If you have a not on the stud then pb blaster is some of the best around at breaking nuts and stuff like that loose. If you have problems after that getting the stud out of the head since it is usually a good idea to replace them when old and brittle you can heat up the head around the stud with a propane torch, the aluminum in the head should expand with a little heat and the stud should come out easily.

Sorry if I confused you guys, I mean the bolts are already out. Should I get new ones? If I don't have too that would be sweet. But I'd rather be safe than sorry.

And do I have to take the studs out of the head? I was just going to take all the bolts off the studs, then pull off the manifold and replace it then put the bolts back on the studs

Bolts don't go on studs, nuts do.

Replace the 4 turbo bolts, assuming the one stud was removed, torque everything down to spec.
