When a balance shaft is eliminated and the mechanic "only" installs the block-off bearing, what will happen? Why is there several pieces to a BS removal kit? What are they all for?

Question 2: If you check out my car under my username, you can see a list of all my mods...do i need a wideband O2 sensor without a doubt? A lot of guys who seem like they really know their sh*t are saying yes, and then a lot of guys who seem like they really know their sh*t are saying no. I am not going to run past stock boost...even with my mods and I do have dsmlink and the appropriate ecu. HELP!!!

What do you mean by "only" the block off bearing? Both shafts removed? One still in? BS belt still attached(I hope not)? Both cut off near the front plate? There are multiple ways of doing it.

I think both shafts are removed. My menchanic only showed me 1 bearing that he said had to be turned. No bs attatched, that I know. Here's what happens, i drive around for 15 minuted hard...not hard...doesn't matter, then park and no oil leak. But if I drive after 15 minutes...then I park, and there's oil on the driverside cross member, oil pan bolts (but not the seal), and oil filter. It seems to be coming from behind the timing cover. Pressure is up, not low.

very useful info, my mechanic said he will take my car back in and warranty the labor to fix the leak, i don't think he knows this is probably what's going on. But, I think now he will have a very clear understanding also and the step by step instructions should be easy for him to follow. He works mostly on nissans and hondas (making them turbo-cars). Thanks!!

No problem, many makes the mistake of not properly sealing the bolt that is in place of the old BS tensioner pulley, I suspect this is probably where the oil leak is, assuming he did everything else correctly. Good luck.
