Hey, long story short my car keeps blowing the ignition switch fuse. Whether the car is running or not it blows it in less than a min. I had my alky injection kit wired through the 12volt constant and ignition 12volt at the swtich but that has been since removed completely. Any ideas what could cause this? I checked over the wiring and it all looks good.
the car is a 95 tsi awd.
Any ideas welcome. thanks

Did you pull your dash and look or just look under it? The fuse doesn't snap instantly?Did it start happening as soon as you removed the alky? It kinda sound like a spade stayed in the t tap when you pulled the wires out.

I pulled the bottom dash and everything looks ok. This happened before i removed the alky. I was driving through my neighborhood and it died, the fuse was blown, replaced it and it blew again. Went through a few of them. I soldered everything but i pulled out the relay and the fuse in the fusable link to the alky kit.

pull the fuse and check the battery wire for continuity to ground. After that try to retrace steps and figure out what you did shortly before the fuse started blowing. Look for chaffes or pinched wires between the key and battery. A short is a hard ts through a pc.

I checked all the under dash stuff and it all looks good. No burning smells or anything and it takes a little while for it to blow out, like 40 secs or so.
