I cant adjust the fuel pressure at all......If i back the screw out it stays the same.....if i screw it in it also stays the same.........it was at 20psi and I replaced my fuel filter and its at 35psi now........also if i squeeze/block the return line on the FPR at all the pressure will shoot up to 50+psi

Do you have one hose going to the side/front of the regulator and one leaving the bottom, then the gauge screwed in the side?

Did you put in the other spring they give with the kit?

maybe post some pics up of the install

yup..I have the return line in the bottom and the feed on the left side then the gauge opposite.....I will post some pictures in a bit.....im gonna go out and take it apart and triple check again to make sure everything is tight

found the problem.......I unscrewed the FPR gauge so I could see through the hole inside.......when i adjust the screw on the top it doesen't even move inside(down or up)........it seems to be stuck on the upper circle lip......i think it might be too big to go inside and regulate pressure.....maybe defective???? this explains why i cant hold fuel pressure and why its low....all the fuel is just going straight down the return line, un-regulated

and yes I put the stiffer spring in..........I will try and snap a picture in a bit so you can see what exactly is going on more clearly

You win! That is the correct answer. Looking at your pics, the piece you're holding is upside down. Flip it over. The rounded end of the silver conical thing on the rubber diaphragm should plug the return port (the hole on the bottom); the spring sits on top, and on top of the spring sits a sort of concaved washer which the screw would seat in when tightening (to increase the pressure on the spring).
