new fuel pump= bad mpg??

just installled a Walbro 255 hp and it is completely draining my tank. Is this normal or should I look again for any possible leaks?

Exactly how bad are you talking about? <20mpg I'd say you overlooked the need for a FPR. <10mpg and you probably have a leak.

well i have a FPR just not to sure on how to set it, I usually got like 13,14 to the gallon with like a lil bit of speed, now it is like 10, 11....

That's pretty bad. I'd start checking for leaks.

Set it to 40-42psi with vacuum source disconnected.

You must have had something wrong to begin with. 13-14 is extremely low.

well my engine has some head work to it and big injectors i dunno but im sure it doesnt help. i dont have any leaks though just checked. Maybe i have the pump assembly turned a lil weired and the sensor is reading from a wrong point in the tank??? do i set the FPR at idle or when i rev up to boost?

Can post a DMLink log? It is very simple. Just start a reply and upload the .dat file using the picture download button.

Set the fpr by disconnecting the vacuum/boost source. 2G fuel pressure should be set to 43.5 psi.

Have you done a boost leak test?

Since you have DSMlink, just turn on the fuel pump with the software (click on ECU/Logfile > Miscellaneous then click the Fuel Pump button) and set it to 43.5 psi. You don't even need to disconnect the vacuum line. You can also easily check for leaks this way. Once it is set, it should read about 38 or 39 (give or take a few) with the vacuum line connected.

Which AFPR do you have?
Do you have fuel pressure gauge (either on your fuel rail, on your AFPR, or in your cabin)? If under the hood, is it a liquid filled gauge?
Are you sure DSMlink is set up properly to handle your upgraded injectors?
And, as dsm-onster said, have you done a boost leak test lately?

Horrible..I get 25 miles to the gallon. Are you smashing down 25 MPH streets? If so, then there's your problem.

i thought i got shitty milage. With 720's and all teh mods in my profile i get about 18-19 city and around 26 highway.. i can lean it out on the highway and get over 30 though . I'd be looking for leaks if i were you.
