what is the black hose coming off the MBC hooked up to....?

the black hose needs to be connected to a vacuum...you can T of from the bov vacuum. And the red hose coming off the MBC needs to be hooked up to the wastegate actuator. There will be a hose already connected there, just take that off and plug it and connect the hose there.

Wrong, wrong and wrong. :D

1. Never tap the BOV line.

2. He has a TurboXS bleeder MBC, the inlet/outlet fittings are reversed.

3. He can't use vacuum with this MBC because it's a bleeder valve, vacuum leaks.

OP, remove the red hose from the TB and connect it to the compressor/j-pipe fitting on the turbo.

Lastly, get rid of that BOV or figure a way to recirculate back into the intake pipe.

Don't T into the BOV line.

The MBC should connect one of two ways: compressor outlet-->MBC-->WGA or IM-->MBC-->WGA. Some say the 2nd way is good, but most - including myself - think that the 1st way is the correct way. If your compressor has a nipple on it, run the red hose to that (make it as short as you can while keeping the MBC somewhere accessible). The black hose should go to the nipple on the WGA (can-looking thing bolted to your turbo compressor housing).

But don't T into the BOV line, and ct78155, please don't tell anyone to again.:thumb:

EDIT: Doh! oldman beat me to it...and corrected me on the infamous bleeder MBCs.

While you're at it, get some vaccuum line from Autozone to run between that nipple on the left side of your valve cover and run it to the nipple on the side of your intake pipe.

And you're venting your BOV. If you have problems during shifts or when you let off the gas, that might be the reason. The BOV is supposed to recirculate back into that big tube on the top of your intake pipe that has boxing tape or something covering it. One solution would be to lose the snazzy BOV and put a 1g BOV on the intake pipe where that diamond-shaped blockoff plate is bolted and cap the other flange instead. I got my 1g BOV on ebay for $25 shipped. Then you need to get a hose to run from the BOV to the intake pipe.

Then do a boost leak test. Considering the way this car is set up, it's probably a pretty good idea.

And I'd ditch the bleeder MBC for a $50 ball/spring MBC.

And if you don't have an aftermarket boost gauge, get one or you'll have no idea what boost you're running (stock boost gauge is an estimation of boost and it has...no numbers!).

ok were the red line is connected to now what is supposed to go there??? what would i put there??

Can't tell from the picture.

and i have a 1g bov i just havent installed it yet im looking for a way to cap off the other bov hole

Small sheet of 1/8" steel plate, cut to the rough shape, grind to a less rough shape, measure the hole spacing, drill holes at same spacing, bolt on with RTV, let set up, boost leak test ;).
