tranny problem

So im driving my car the other day and all of a sudden i notice that it is in nuetral and i look down and its still in drive. A couple seconds later it gets back into drive. So far i noticed that it only happens after i floor it. Any ideas ?

I think the fluids good but I will check later. But I was driving it today and after WOT for a couple seconds I notice that it is in nuetral. A couple seconds later its back in drive. Could this be a problem with the valve body ? Also after driving the car for 5-10 min it shuts off, but the weird part is that it starts right back up but when I put it in drive then it dies right away. Any ideas as to what is wrong. My dad thinks its something with the tranny, but what ?

i think your clutch or tranny might be slipping out of gears, is there any noise when it jumps between drive and nuetral?

+1 Check fluid first for wear and tear and proper level. Is the CEL on? TCU could be going froggy. Does the tranny slip when accelerating?
