what do i need to do to make my tdo5 20g a full tdo6 20g ?
i call sbr and they said that it was cheaper to buy a bastard 20g and put my cold side on it ... because of balancing !!!!
I got 3-5k miles in the turbo :toobad:

They are pretty much right.

You'll have to have get a new td06h bearing housing, you'll have to machine out the turbine housing for the tdo6h turbine wheel. Or get an 8 cm^2 turbine housing which has a t3 inlet bolt pattern and 3bolt outlet pattern. You'll have to get the td06h turbine wheel. You'll have to balance all of that. I'm sure there's other details I've missed. . .

Is your tdo5h turbine wheel clipped? If not then a good clip will net you close to the td06h turbine wheel in flow. As reported elsewhere on this foum, you're spool will be slightly slower than the td06h, but you'll still be close to the over all potential of the 20g compressor.

do you think is worth clipping it, what are the power gains ?
is the td06 "that much better" than what i have ?

Yea, a 10-15 degree clip will net you nearly the flow of a td06h based on what I've seen other guys do. And you'll have slightly slower spool than an unclipped td06h. Both a clipped td05h and td06h has quite a bit more lag than an unclipped td05h. But, both are streetable.

You can't be shy on the clipping. Don't expect a 7 degree clip to really get you the results of a td06h 20g. A 'clip job' costs around $75. MUCH cheaper than swapping and machining parts for the td06h turbine. I'd start w/ a 10 degree clip. And, if it doesn't net the results you're after and you know where you're at on the compressor map, you can alway get a steeper angle.
