1G My 3rd Cam Position Sensor

Hey, so I was just wondering what you guys think could be causing my car to eat up cam position sensors. They all look fine coming out, although the first one was pretty soaked in motor oil... I am just wondering if there is a problem with my cars head that keeps making these cam positions sensors fail.

do you keep buying them from the same place?

No I have had spares from parts cars. And I know they were good when I put them in, then they go within a week. Something is not right.

then the first thing you should do is check the harness and wires to see if they may be hitting something and grounding out or frying.

also are you getting any CEL's

Yeah, I am. Apparently I am getting code 14, So the throttle position sensor. Really its never thrown a CAS code.

if your going through sensors like that that you should look at the wires first and test them for ground faults.

Also make sure that you keep the retaining clip on the CAS harness. Most of the CAS troubles I've seen stem from not having that clip, or some underlying wiring issue leading to the sensor/ECU.
