Frankenstein Turbo?

What is a frankenstien turbo? I bought a 92 talon awd and the owner said that was what it is. Im new so I dont understand. Please help.

It's an old school name used for Garrett/Mitsu hybrid turbos. Turbochargers.com still uses the "Frank" name. Here's a good link frankenstein turbos

Unless the owner tells you or have it looked @ the combos are endless, hence the nickname.
