Hey I have a built 7-bolt coming and a full exhaust (minus headers) along with a bunch of other goodies. One of these is a BP V-Trim. My very simple question is, will PaceSetter headers bolt up to this V-Trim? I'm 70% sure that the answer is yes but I can't seem to be able to find any confirmation of that. If anyone can tell me for sure that would be great. :thumb:

Thanks, Tom.

Regardless if it fits or not, I would stay away from the Pacesetter header. If you look in the parts review section, there is a nice review of it, and it got poor marks. You are asking for more problems than its worth. That is just my opinion. :talon:

Ok, I'm convinced... So I'm getting a V-Trim, what should I do? DNP headers? Port my 2G headers (the cheap option)? Or do nothing for now and save up for some nice headers? Other options? Thanks, Tom.

I would just recommend porting your 2G manifold. That manifold will handle a V-trim just fine. Once you get to around the 500whp mark then the 2G manifold become a problem. I would just spend the money on something else.

You could just spend the money on fuel mods or tuning. If you don't have that stuff already, then you'd end up keeping that cool new V-trim at stock boost, and that's not as much fun as it could be.

For a DD, personally I'd stick to a cast mani. A ported 2g mani will be fine but if you have some spare change the evoIII or GT mani's both do well. The best cast mani out there right now would be the FP race mani but its costs a good amount more. Your Vtrim will bolt up to any of these mani's but curious as to why your going with the Vtrim? I know of more then one who had surge issues with this turbo & couldn't get rid of it, so they swapped them for the Bullseye 50 trim. The vtrim also tends to be a laggy turbo for its size from people I've talked too.

Just get an EVO III manifold, man. It flows plenty, and you will save yourself money. Its a nice manifold.

I agree 100%. This is a great manifold. The price is VERY reasonable. If you are driving something on the street a lot you can't go wrong with the reliability of a cast manifold.

Cool. Thanks for the advice all. I'll look into getting an EVO mani.

Good. You won't regret it, unlike if you had purchased the Pacesetter header. Not trying to shoot down your choices, just trying to make like a bit easier for ya. Good luck. :talon:
