I have a 90 gsx and I was going to put a e931 ecu image in the chip, will have to swap pins 6 and 14 in my wiring harness????? I read about doing that over changin the entire dash tach, ignitor setup??? any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Swapping the pins is not because of the image (e931) you burn on the chip, but because of the differences in ecus between 90 and 91-94. If you're putting in a 91+ ecu, here are a couple ideas to solve the differences between the ignition pulses:

oh! ok so I have no problems them because I have a 90 ecu! so the image doesn't matter? I am going to be using a reflashable chip.

whew! I was worried there for a moment! hey do you burn chips??? if so have you ever used tunerpro?? I like the program but I would like to know how to make my own xdf files.

Register with DSM-ECU and check the Files section. They have the factory .bin and .xdf translations for the E931 ecu in both 16K and 32K formats.

I just burned an E931 bin and put it into a 90 ecu yesterday. The car runs awsome so far.

I do have one question though I burned the chip to have an 8500 rpm rev limit, when we tested the car both free rev and a full third gear pass it didn't see over 8000. Could that be just the wrong image or is there something else thats putting a cap on that.

were you using tunerpro or using hex? sometimes in hex(atleast me anyway) I have inputted the wrong hex value in the rev limiter(actually I only did that once!!!) I set accidently to 6800 rpm when I wanted to set it at 7800rpm!!!(yikes...never did that again!!)
lucky though it was my own car!!!
