I was havin all sorts of problems with my brake system on the car. I resolved my issue but now I have Ryabestos brake pads on my Brembo slotted front rotors and the Raybestos brake pads suck! I had been running EBC green kevlar brake pads but I cooked them to the point that they are white and crumbling. I had a brake caliper that was dragging brake pads. The EBC green kevlar brake pads now look like charcoal that has been cooked and then cooled. They are toast! The reason of this post is to get advice on other brands of aftermarket brake pads. Six years ago I had a full four corner set of EBC green kevlar brake pads on power stop slotted rotors and I loved em! Now I have Brembo slotted front rotors and power stop crossdrilled cadnium coated rear rotors with ss brake lines and EBC green kevlar brake pads on all four corners. I didn't have a problem with any of the brake components in the rear just in the front. My Brembo slotted front rotors seem to be in very good shape. everything is working great but these Raybestos brake pads heat up and fade real quick and easy. They suck! I was not so impressed with this last set of EBC green kevlar brake pads. they dont seem to be anywhere near as grippy as that first set of EBC I got. Anyone have any suggestion on brake pad manufacturers that would have equal or better performance than the EBC's? Since everything in the back is still working good I am going to leave them be but I am looking to replace the front brake pads.

Did you ever replace the caliper that was dragging? That would be the first thing I would do.

If price isn't a concern, I'd probably give the Poterfield R-4S a try as well, have only heard great things about them. The hawk HPS are abit cheeper, probably don't have quite the stopping ability but are still a great agressive street pad.
