laser modles???

hey i am looking at buyin an 89 laser but when i look for parts most things show up as 90-94 parts what excatly is the difference between the 89 modle and the 90 and up modles

It should be very similar to a 90 model if that's what you mean.

The 89 and 90 models are the same. My 90 GST was made in 89. Hell I think my 90 TSI was also made in 89.

If I remember correctly, in the 80's there was a chrysler laser which is a completely different car. All dsm lasers are 90-94 production dates aside.

There WAS a completely different Laser in the 80s, we have one rolling around here that's a solid 10 sec. car. In any case, I'll just concur with everyone else and say that the build dates were in '89, but they were '90 production year car.

1990 DSM's started production in May 1989 and were available to sale as a 1990 model car in Sept/Oct '89. You have a very early build 1990 Laser.
