I cut off the flange on the intercooler piping and was going to put on the Greddy flange. The piping is SS and the flange is aluminum. I heard you cant weld it because its two different metals. Is that true ? How else could I put the flange on ?

No you can't weld the two together and no you can't use jb weld. You will have to get an aluminum flange

Why did you cut of the other flange if it already was equipped? Different bolt pattern?

Aluminum does not weld with steel because the have different specific heat (melting temperatures). Aluminum has limited tensile strength and with over-heating/oxidizing will crack and be destroyed.

You will need to either buy a SS flange, replace the SS piping with aluminum, or create an aluminum sleeve around the SS piping using a curved piece of aluminum, gasket (RTV?) sealant, and a couple screw clamps.
