Oil Gauge Is Way High...

no its high soon as i turn the key over with the engine not even started... and then it goes back down and moves up and down... when the car is on it goes up to high and then low then high and everything else is normal...
 
well the part that plugs onto the sending unit broke off so the guy used one of those eye cramp things and im not sure if thats a problem or not?
 
i was reading on dsmtalk.com the cooler that sits between the oil filter and the engine can sometimes throw water into the oil and cause it to act like a bad head gasket... is this true?
 
how could i fix this? its the connection that goes into the sending unit... how could i re wire this or use one of those cramp clips and put it on or whats the best way?
 
stock guage... but i think its just the wiring... the cramp clip is like a wire connector just another way of saying it i guess...
