My A/C hasn't been working since I got the car and I finally decided to check it out. After taking it to a shop to have them evacuate and recharge only to have the mechanic butcher my wires trying to give power to the compressor
I took the car back before they could do any more damage and decided to investigate myself since it seems like a deeper problem than just needing a recharge.
I am able to turn the AC Clutch on manually by connecting power to it, but it does not turn on when I press the AC switch on the console. Swapped relays and everything checked out fine there. Did some probing and discovered that the AC switch is not sending a signal to the relay to turn the compressor on. I'm about to take the switch off and check the pins to make sure it is good and continuity is in the right places. Has anyone had a bad AC switch or had a similar problem where the relay wasn't getting a signal?
Thanks
