getting a new ecu(will it help me though???)

Ok to start i have a 91 eagle talon tsi and i have not really done anything to this car since i bought it a while ago i have a dejon cold air intake, new ngk (recommended) plugs, newer plug wires and a newer clutch maybe 1,000 miles on it. So this brings me to my problem i bought the car put my new list of stuff on, and it ran fine (boosted strong) but then coming home from school i noticed i lost just about all my boost BUT my aftermarket gauge shows i'm hitting 10psi, even though it sure as hell doesnt feel like im getting 10psi out of my motor. NOW could this be my ecu i took my car to my mechanic and he told me i have a an automatic ecu . Could this ecu have gone bad and suddenly cause my lose of boost (i have done boost leak test and sealed my leaks, also my bov is blowing really loud so i dont believe im leaking anywhere) I am also idleing really low around the 500 mark but my car doesnt stall. I HAVE TRIED JUST ABOUT EVERYTHING TO GET IT BACK RUNNING RIGHT. Will this ecu solve my problems??????

First I would get an eprom ecu for a 5 speed, and then send it off to keydriver and get it chipped and socketed for a stage 1-3 chip. Then I would invest in a logger and maybe an safc to fine tune the chip. Also I would check to make sure that there are no boost leaks agian and recirc. the bov if vented. Check the comp. to make sure everything is good internally.

If you wont do the other stuff I would at least do the ecu and going with a custom chip will only make it funner to drive and run better.
