I recently found my stock fuel lines have some leaks, and my sending unit is a huge part of it. I already have a braided stainless steel feed and AFPR... now I'm going to expand it more. I am going to run -6an socketless aeroquip hose from my sending unit via bulkhead connection to my -6an fuel filter and then I'm going to run -6an socketless aeroquip hose from my AFPR back to my gas tank. I hope to update this thread with pictures and opinions of my install after I finish the job. I have searched the forum and haven't found much information of people using the socketless, mostly braided SS. Braided SS is heavier, more expensive and harder to work with. After I'm done, I'll give a list of parts I used for the installation.

I have been planning to do this with my 2G. Seems pretty straightforward to me. Just remember to use rubber grommets any time you're going through metal holes (if you happen to do so). Even though the lines are stainless steel, they can still wear out with constant rubbing. Also, some strong thread sealer would also be a good idea so you rest assured the possibility of leaks will be minimal.

Good luck. Post up photos of the process when you're finished! :)
