Who has used a torque plate in their rebuild?

I have read through the long and heated debates on whether or not a torque plate is necessary or not. This thread is not about that. This is a poll to see how many people actually used a torque plate versus those who have not.

The trouble is that your sampling group is too small to be of significance. You might find in the world of engine rebuilders that 5% (I'd bet less) of their customers want a torque plate used, and that far less than half have any idea what a torque plate is or supposedly does. Then there's the problem of finding one for a given engine. That the hardware is so uncommon tends to show its lack of necessity (every shop has a HeliCoil outfit, for instance, because they're needed in routine machine work).
If you believe a torque plate will be of benefit to you, make sure one is used on your rebuild. And hope the shop knows how to use it "correctly" (whatever that may be).

But good luck with the question.
