I have a laud squeal / squeak noise that almost sounds like truck brakes when I am letting off the gas or coasting up to a stop sign. ( I am not touching the brakes at either time ) I went all over the brake system and the noise is not from there.

I am thinking boost leak but I did not find any leaks.

Could having a 1g bov on a greddy flange cause my problem? I noticed the 1g bov has a small hole in the bottom that is right over one of the greddy mounting bolt holes. I think the gasket covered it.

Thanks in advance for any help :)

Man, I have no idea what something like that could be but grab a friend, pop the hood and have him sit in the bay. Get to 10mph and do what you do to get that noise to happen. Have him see where it's comming from. It's what I would do if nobody else gives you ideas and/or if you haven't fixed it yet.

No offense and I know we arent supposed to bash other members, but that is the dumbest idea I have ever heard of in my life!!! DONT do that. Does this squeek go away or does it always go on? It could be a belt is loose. I have the problem in my car and its really loud!
Get some belt dressing and spray down your belts.

I'll check all the belts again and see but I just replaced them a few weeks ago. I am leaning towards boost leak since it sounds like the noise a big dump truck makes when stopping with air brakes.

I am going to do some work to the bov flange later today and see if that helps. I did word my post wrong. I took my greddy pipes off when I installed my new fmic it had a 1g flange that I drilled to fit my greddy then I got pissed at the greddy and put a 1g bov on. I covered the holes I grilled with a gasket but it could have a small leak........Would there be any kind of boost pressure in the bov if my boost gauge shows 20'' of vacuum? I didn't think there would be but I'm not 100% sure.

Thanks again,
Patrick
