Ok, cylinders 1-4 are not firing, I check the coil pack and it comes out good. I took the CAS out and spun it, It's getting fuel and spark on 2-3, and fuel on 1-4. I tested the power transistor plug and the violet wire for 1-4 wasnt doing much, didn't know what kinda value to check for... My ecu was rebuilt not even a year ago and smells great. I've also heard that the CAS can go out without throwing a cel? Any opinions or ideas??
 
How did you check the coil? My money is on that your coil pack is bad.

Had the same problem. Strangely enough my intake manifold gasket was blown. Also, try switching out our resistor with another one. Ill have to look more in depth as to what we did to fix it.
 
not sure if you already did this. with the ignition> on position, unplug the sp wires from the plug side, loose the cas while is connected and spin it if you still not getting anything ckeck your compression .
cas's do go bad but 95talonwoner sound right also check if you didnt rip any wires out of the harnesses when you did the head swap

Whats does spark have to do with my compression?
 
The same exact thing happened to my 93 tsi. except 2 and 3 has no spark. it was the CAS. i traced all my wiring back to my ecu and swapped my ecu in a friends to make sure it was not my ecu... then we swapped CAS and that was the whole problem

what i ment to say is if after checking the cas and it checks out good. then go ahead and check your compression because : maybe you vent some valves ,#1 and #4 pistons go "up" at the same time. what are the odds of your t belt snaping or jumping a tooth?
how did this happend ,while driving , one morning... firt attempt to start on fresh build ?
