Thinking of a bigger turbo????

I am getting an itch for more boost. If I were to upgrade turbos what would be my best choice. I would like to stay on a smic. Would also like to have something that is pretty much bolt on? Which one could I get the most from? Thanks in advance

t28 if you want to stay direct bolt on...or just go 16gs and get the install kit

Well i see that you have a big t28 it's suppose to be a 16g killer if i'm correct..
but i got and evo3 16g and i love it besides that i don't think you got another option besides getting a 50trim but like i sayd the the evo3 is really nice

If you want to stay on a smic, I would suggest looking into water injection. Water injection would open up a lot more possibilities as far as turbo selection goes. A 50 trim is not outside the realm of possibilities with it on a smic.

I would suggest going with an 18g turbo, its a good streetable turbo but also just a good step up from a 16g. and would also suggest going with methanol/water injection. And maybe even an intercooler sprayer for your side mount if you want to keep it cool.

I have thought about a 18G but the 16G is out the question. Its too close to the T28! What all is involved with doing an 18G will it bolt to a 2g manifold and can u use an internal gate without getting creep!

Yes this will go right on a 2g manifold. and these two 18gs from FP are said to have a a redesigned wastegate passage to better control boost creep.

And to answer whats involved with getting a 18g. All you need to do is get the turbo itself and then get a install kit. Something along the lines of this.

I think you should really consider going with the Evo3 16g. It's quite a big step up from the Big T28 that you have now. The 18g doesn't really flow much more than the Evo 3, and it's a waste of money in my opinion.

True. If I had a 1g, I would have gone with an EVO 16g. Instead, I went with the Eliminator 18g since it was completely bolt-on. Can't really tell you that much about it since work on my car has prettymuch come to a stop.
